Overview

Great Northern Timber (GNT) is a privately owned Canadian company formed in 1988 to manufacture and export forest products from Eastern Canada. Products include woodchips, pulpwood, logs and biomass. Associates and agents represent GNT and provide marketing support in Europe, the USA, and Asia.

The world class processing facilities and ship loading terminal located at Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia combined with the deep-water, ice-free port provide excellent global marketing opportunities.

The principals of Great Northern Timber have more than thirty years experience in various forest industry sectors. GNT targets underutilized forest resources to produce high quality, value-added products for the international market. GNT expertise and experience, backed by the stable supply of an abundant resource provides the opportunity to pursue new products and markets worldwide.

Where to Find Us

The GNT office is located in Historic Properties on the waterfront in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. Chip mill facilities are located in Sheet Harbour and Liverpool. The GNT export terminal is located in Sheet Harbour.
