SPECIES:
|
Spruce/Balsam Fir only. All other species will be removed from the load and weighed out on the truck.

ROT:
|
Rot is defined as deterioration to the point of loss of distinction between growth rings. Heartrot up to 33% of the diameter will be deducted from the load weight. Any bolt over 33% heart rot must be removed from the load. Deadwood with saprot is not accepted and must be removed from the load. No burnt or charred wood is accepted.

DIAMETER:
|
Minimum 2.5" and maximum 20" measured outside bark. There is very little tolerance for undersize and may mean refusal of the entire load. Any stick over 20" shall be removed from the load and weighed out on the truck.

KNOTS:
|
All knots will be trimmed even with the body of the stick. No extremely knotty wood will be accepted.

LENGTH:
|
Eight Foot: 78 - 106 Inches. Deduct if under 78". Random Length: 10' to 18'.

|
FRESHNESS:
|
Preferably fresh cut from sound timber. Pulpwood delivered must be less than four months old from date of harvest.

FORM:
|
No crotches, deformed pieces, excessive butt swell or stump pull.

|
REJECTED LOADS:
|
Any load containing greater than 3% deductions by weight will be rejected at the scalehouse.
